The Moulay IDRISS
Mausoleum
-
It harbours the tomb of moulay Idriss, fonder and
patron saint of fez. The holy man Moulay Idriss is still celebrated
every year in September in an important moussem. The high point of
the celebrations is the renewal of the "keswa".
The Sidi Ahmed Tijani Mausoleum

Is devoted to the memory of the famed saint Sidi
Ahmed Tijani who died in 1815 and created the most important Islamic
brotherhood in West Africa
The el kairaouine Mosque

A symbol of the religious and spiritual history of Fez in
particular and of Morocco in general, it was founded in 857 by
Fatima El Fihri
The Andalusia Mosque
It's remarkable for its impressive doors decorated with zellij and
its carved wood awning

THERMAL STATION OF MOULAY YACOUB:

20 Km of Fez; these waters are known and appreciated for
its
therapeutic proprieties to various diseases: "rheumatism,
cutaneous diseases, diseases of respiratory ducts..."

Situated
at
15 Km of Fez; known for
its curative qualities: " kidney disease,
liver disease and disease of urinary ducts".

- SEFROU
AND BHALIL:

Small Berber town, Known for its Andalousian-looking
architecture, its "cherry Festival" in June, its walls and number of
monuments and buildings among wich its seven century old mosque.
Also worth the detour is the village of Bhalil;
the legend claims that the Bhalil population is descendent from
Christian converted belatedly to Islam.
